Stephen Smith

Stephen Smith works with persons accused of crimes to achieve the best possible outcome in often impossible legal situations.

Mr. Smith represents persons accused of child molestation, sexual assault, rape and other sexual crimes includes the representation of criminal defendants in serious federal and state matters. Some of his criminal defense cases include murder, manslaughter, drug offenses, domestic violence, sex offenses, and weapons offenses.

We maintain offices in Bangor and Portland Maine and are affiliated with a the Law Offices of Robert A George in Massachussets and are able to provide coverage by admission into New Hampshire courts on a Pro Hac Vice basis.

MILITARY:
A Desert Storm vet, Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1987-1991. He was a Sniper Team Leader in the reserves from 1991-1998 and an Engineer Platoon Leader from 1998-2000. He has been deployed to Afghanistan as a military prosecutor. Mr. Smith currently serves as a JAG officer with the Maine Army National Guard.
